Alzheimer's Disease

Genizon has completed a GWAS in Alzheimer’s disease of over 1,000 affected patients and 1,000 unaffected controls from the Quebec Founder Population.

The genotyping was performed using the Infinium HumanHap550 Genotyping BeadChip which contains more than 555,000 SNP markers distributed throughout the human genome. Data analysis is ongoing.

In January 2007, Genizon granted Pfizer Inc. a license and collaboration agreement for disease-state diagnostic rights to Genizon's discovery program in Alzheimer’s disease.
