HumanHap240S Genotyping BeadChip

The HumanHap240S BeadChip contains more than 240,000 tagSNPs (derived from the Phase I+II HapMap data) that provide tag SNP coverage in regions of lower linkage disequilibrium in the genome. The combination of HumanHap240S and HumanCNV370-quad provide comprehensive genomic coverage across multiple populations. In addition, there are 180 mitochondrial SNPs, 11 Y-chromosome SNPs, and >4,300 SNPs in recently reported copy number polymorphism regions of the genome. This BeadChip is designed to generate higher density genotype data in samples that have already been genotyped with the Hap300 chip, producing a final dataset equivalent to the Hap550 chip.
